A final word

Today was a great experience for all, adults and children. It was fascinating to spend time in both the House of Lords and the House of Commons; places where so many historic events have been enacted, momentous speeches made and big issues debated. It was then a real privilege to be taken to a committee room where we talked for 30 minutes with our local MP, James Wharton. Following that, we walked up the most famous street in England: Downing Street. As always, our Bader pupils excelled – lots of thoughtful questions asked and good behaviour at all times. A credit to themselves, their families and our school community.

Safely negotiated the Tube to Leicester Square. A bit of souvenir shopping 😱 and then Rainforest Cafe for lunch.

I am really excited about the coming day. It is amazing… a dream come true in fact! We are talking about the Houses of Parliament here. I can’t wait to do some sight-seeing… Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, Big Ben and, of course, the Houses of Parliament.
